Abstract
The optimal anesthetic approach for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) remains a subject of ongoing debate. Although general anesthesia (GA) allows greater procedural control and airway security, local anesthesia with conscious sedation (LACS) may facilitate faster postoperative recovery and reduce procedure-related complications. This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of GA versus CS in patients undergoing transfemoral TAVI.
